The Kee football brought its 2015 season to a close with a 56-6 loss at Midland-Wyoming Friday, October 23. Even though the host Eagles were cruising into an already determined State Play-Off qualification, they certainly didn’t leave anything to chance in racking up 327 yards of total offense in comparison to Kee’s 190 total yards, including a 100-47 advantage on the ground and 227 yards and five touchdowns through the air. The Hawks, however, also offered their fair share of help in turning the ball over six times with three each of fumbles and interceptions on the wet, cool evening, one of those interceptions being returned 54 yards for a Midland touchdown.
The Hawks wrapped up their 2015 campaign with a 2-7 final overall record, including a 2-5 mark in Eight-Player District 4 that placed them in a three-way tie for fifth place in the league with Central City and West Central. Midland is scheduled to open up the Eight-Player State Play-Offs this Wednesday, October 28 at the home of fellow District 4 squad Turkey Valley.
