Waukon football wins, 42-21, at A-P Monday to earn quarterfinals date, lone loss rematch at NFV this Friday

The Waukon football team continued its early postseason success with a 42-21 blasting of Aplington-Parkersburg at the home of the Falcons Monday, November 2 in the second round of the Class 2A State Play-Offs. The Indians outgained the host Falcons, 473-370, on the way to pulling out to a 26-0 halftime lead and as much as a 34-0 headstart before Aplington-Parkersburg could find the end zone.
The Indians will now head to West Union this Friday, November 6 for a quarterfinal match-up, beginning at 7 p.m. with the only team that has beaten them this season, defending Class 2A State Champion North Fayette Valley. The TigerHawks come off a 52-28 whipping of Hampton-Dumont in second-round action, with Friday's winner then earning a trip to the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls for the Class 2A semifinals Saturday, November 14.
