The Kee boys basketball team opened its 2015-2016 season with a single win in a busy, three-game opening week of the season under new head coach Patrick Sullivan. The Hawks made Sullivan’s debut at the Kee helm one to remember, as they pulled out a 63-52 triumph at home in double overtime over fellow Upper Iowa Conference squad Central Elkader, but then had its next two home games fall short of the win column with back-to-back losses of 68-33 and 73-36 against Waukon and MFL/MarMac Thursday and Friday, December 3 and 4.
Starting the season with a 1-2 record, including 1-1 in Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) play, the Hawks will remain in the UIC for most of next week, traveling to Postville Tuesday, December 8 before hosting Turkey Valley Friday, December 11, and will then travel to Mabel-Canton, MN Saturday, December 12. Kee will then travel to South Winneshiek Tuesday, December 15 before hosting Starmont Friday, December 18. The Hawks will then wrap up their pre-holiday schedule Monday, December 21 at De Soto, WI.
