Waukon wrestlers fall to New Hampton and Crestwood, place sixth at Starmont

The Waukon wrestling team wrapped up its pre-holiday schedule with a busy latter half of the week, hosting another home double-dual before competing in a weekend tournament. The Indians were swept by both Class 2A fifth-rated Crestwood, 51-24, and by New Hampton, 57-18, in that home double-dual Thursday, December 17 before placing sixth in the 11-team Doug Guilford Tournament hosted by Starmont High School Saturday, December 19.
Sporting a 4-5 season record, 0-3 in Northeast Iowa Conference action, the Indians will now break for the holidays, returning to action Saturday, January 2 at the Central Elkader Tournament.
