Kee girls basketball team adds three more games to current win streak of seven

The Kee girls basketball team added three victories this past week to a now seven-game winning streak, defeating two Upper Iowa Conference teams at home before doing likewise at Class 3A’s Crestwood from the Northeast Iowa Conference. Those home wins included a 69-40 triumph over Edgewood-Colesburg Tuesday, January 12 and a 67-27 stomping of Postville Friday, January 15 before the Lady Hawks traveled to Cresco and posted a 45-37 win over Crestwood Saturday, January 16.
Those three wins improve the Hawks’ season record to 12-1, including an 8-1 mark in Upper Iowa Conference play. The seventh-rated Hawks will play a pair of back-to-back games, Monday, January 18 at home against Seneca, WI and Tuesday, January 19 at Class 1A top-rated Turkey Valley in another battle of top 10-rated teams, before playing at MFL/MarMac Thursday, January 21. Kee will then make up its January 8 postponed home game with Central Elkader Monday, January 25 before playing at Starmont Tuesday, January 26 and at West Central Friday, January 29.
