Abel Ludeking

Abel Wyatt (Yearous) Ludeking, five-day-old son of Clint and Sonya (Decker) Ludeking of Waukon, died in his parents' arms at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI Monday, January 18, 2016. After fighting from complications at the time of his birth, he gently and quietly passed into the arms of Jesus. Private family graveside services will be held in Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, with Pastor Carol Bjerke officiating.
Abel holds the apple of their eyes and they awaited his arrival with great anticipation. In his short, few days on this earth, he proved through and through that he was a fighter, but with such a sweet face and curly, strawberry-blonde hair. He melted the hearts of the many who were blessed to meet him, and will be greatly missed.
Abel leaves behind his parents; two brothers, Austin and Allen Ludeking; his paternal grandparents, Darleene Wild of Waukon, Clay and Wendy Yearous of Monona, and Robert Ludeking of Decorah; his maternal grandparents, Steven and Paula Decker of Waukon; his great-grandparents: Arlene Yearous, Sharon Decker and Carlton Christianson, all of Waukon; his aunts and uncles: Elisha and Dave Forde of Decorah, Elizabeth and Jon Halverson of Monona, Corey Ludeking of Waukon, Zachery and Arael Decker and Ethan Decker, all of Waukon; and many great-aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Robert Decker, Sonya Christianson, Clifton Yearous, and Millard and Jean Wild; and three great-uncles, Wyatt Yearous, George Wild and Tom Haberichter.
