Home ›Allamakee County Republicans to hold County Convention March 12
The Allamakee County Republican Convention will be held Saturday, March 12 at 10 a.m. at the Farm Bureau Building located at 14 First Avenue NE in Waukon. The County Convention will conduct the following business:
A. Elect thirteen (13) Delegates and thirteen (13) Alternate Delegates to the District Convention and State Convention.
B. Adopt a County Platform.
C. Elect District Convention Committee Members for the 1st District Republican Convention, including:
a. One (1) person to Platform Committee
b. Two (2) persons to Rules Committee
c. Two (2) persons to Credentials Committee
d. Two (2) persons to Organization Committee.
Attendees at the convention may also hear comments from elected county, state or federal officials or their representatives. Candidates for these offices may also attend and speak. Any delegate elected at their precinct caucus February 1 of this year is strongly encouraged to fulfill their obligation to attend.
Those attending are asked to extend an invitation to other registered Republicans and Jr. Delegates to attend the County Convention. Seating for non-voting delegates will be available. At the County Convention, non-voting delegates can be elected to District and State Conventions as a voting delegate.
