Sabrina A. Raney, 32, of Waukon died Thursday, April 21, 2016 at her home in Waukon. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon. After the visitation the family would like to invite family and friends to a dinner at Farmers & Merchants Savings Bank Community Center in Waukon, beginning at 7 p.m.
Sabrina was born at her home in Missouri June 9, 1983 to Tammy and Mark Raney. She lived in Missouri with her mom and sisters until 1993, then lived with her father until she was 12 years old. She then came to Waukon to live with her mother and sisters once again. Sabrina lived in Waukon with her boyfriend, Kevin Jostand, for 16 years.
Sabrina spent a lot of her years as a child and teen being very close with her sisters, Christen and Cindy. She had lots of friends to play and hang out with. Sabrina gave so much of her heart to everyone, whoever she came across instantly loved Sabrina.
Sabrina fell head over heels for Kevin way back when she was 17 years old. After this, Sabrina never wanted them to be apart; Kevin became Sabrina’s whole world. Sabrina made sure she saw or talked with her mom daily and called all of her family often to check in. Holidays were a must for Sabrina. She spoiled her family and friends.
Sabrina had a passion for her animals. Her cats, Sid and Patches, were her babies, she always said. Sabrina loved her dolphins and always wanted to swim with them. We all will cherish the memories we have of Sabrina and keep them close to our hearts every day.
Sabrina is survived by her mother, Tammy Steiber; her boyfriend, Kevin Jostand; her three sisters, Christen, Cynthia and Amanda; her younger brother, Ben; a step-son, Brenden Jostand; her nephews and nieces, Brian, Desiree, Trinity, Connor and Donavin; her grandmothers, Gwen Straight and Mary Ann Knowles; her aunts and uncles; and all the family that loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mark Raney; her step-father, Rod Steiber; her grandfathers, Andrew Raney and Vaughn Hunt; two uncles, Mike Hunt and Bob Mables; an aunt, Kim Hunt; and a baby nephew, John Hunt.
