Waukon girls golf team splits pair of road dates to secure first NEIC win of season

The Waukon girls golf team began and ended its week on opposite ends of the spectrum, securing its first Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) win of the season to start the week but later falling to two other NEIC opponents. The Indian lady linksters secured that win, 209-228, in a Monday, April 25 road meet at Crestwood before falling at New Hampton to both the host school and Charles City Friday, April 29.

The Indians were scheduled to host back-to-back Northeast Iowa Conference dual meets against Oelwein and Charles City Monday and Tuesday, May 2 and 3, that Charles City meet having to be rescheduled from its original April 5 date due to a bout of inclement weather. The Indian girls will play in the Northeast Iowa Conference Tournament Monday, May 9 before preparing for their Class 3A Regional Golf Tournament at Oelwein, details of which appear in a shaded box elsewhere on these same Sports pages.
