"Northeast Iowa Community College expresses its gratitude for the Allamakee County Board of Supervisors’ and Waukon City Council's formal proclamation recognizing our 50 years of service. NICC looks forward to many more years of service and our partnership with Allamakee County and Waukon. Together, we are focused on providing our students with education and workforce training that will make a difference in their lives and positively impact our northeast Iowa community both now and into the future,” expressed Julie Wurtzel, NICC executive director of advancement.

For 50 years, NICC has prepared the workforce of tomorrow throughout its 5,000 square mile district by providing the educational foundation needed for students to excel. Today, the college's impact has grown so large that an estimated one in seven community members in northeast Iowa are served by NICC each year.
