Sheryl Kamm
Sheryl Margaret Kamm, 58, of Richland Center, WI died Thursday, June 16, 2016 at her home. A funeral mass was held Tuesday, June 21 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center, WI with burial in St Mary’s Ridge Catholic Cemetery in Cashton, WI. The family suggests memorials in Sheryl's name be directed to St. Mary’s Catholic School and Agrace Hospice.
Sheryl was born August 1, 1957 in Sparta, WI, the daughter of Sylvester and Margaret (Sullivan) Laufenberg. She graduated from Brookwood High School as Salutatorian in 1975. May 8, 1982, Sheryl married Mark Kamm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Onalaska, WI. She attended WWTC in LaCrosse, WI and went to work at Heilemen’s Brewing Company as a secretary for 11 years.
In 1989 Sheryl and Mark moved to Waukon, where she worked as the school librarian at St. Patrick’s Catholic School. Sheryl went to work as a secretary for the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and as a legal secretary for Morrow and White in Waukon. The couple moved to Richland Center, WI, where she volunteered at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Sheryl enjoyed being with her friends, especially for their evening walks. Her greatest love was the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren. She was a very selfless woman who would put the needs of others ahead of her own.
Sheryl is survived by her husband, Mark Kamm of Richland Center, WI; two children, Christopher (Shelby) Kamm of Dubuque and Nicole (Aadam) Wiltfang of Amana; five grandchildren, Kinley, Blake, Hayden, Kellen and Rhya; her mother, Margaret Laufenberg of Ontario, WI; her brothers and sisters: Larry (Donna) Laufenberg of Ontario, WI, Joan (Wayne) Carpenter of La Farge, WI, Steve (DeAnna) Laufenberg of New Lisbon, WI, Judy (Brice) Nofsinger of Ontario, WI and Nancy (Dave) Thomas of Ontario, WI, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, Sylvester, and her sister, Kathy.
