Village Farm and Home has played a major role in the success of the Little Switzerland FFA chapter at Waukon High School for many years in a variety of different ways. In recent years, Village Farm and Home has partnered with Red Brand Fencing and the National FFA Organization to provide financial support to the local chapter. From 2012 to 2015, $4,450 has been provided to the local chapter through the Home Grown Program. Through that program, for every roll of wire that is purchased locally at Village Farm and Home, $1 is donated back to the local FFA chapter. The funds donated have been used at the local level to help students reduce expenses to travel to National FFA Convention, and to purchase contest preparation materials and equipment needed in the agricultural classroom and FFA chapter. "Without the support of our local farmers and Village Farm and Home, our chapter would not be able to offer the various activities FFA members participate in," remarked the leaders of the Waukon High School FFA chapter. "Our chapter would like to thank all those who have purchased fence from Village Farm and Home, as well as thank them for all their support of our chapter and its members."
