Waukon boys cross country team scores runner-up finish at South Winn Invitational

The Waukon boys cross country team competed in the South Winneshiek Invitational Tuesday, October 4, scoring its highest team finish of the season. Behind a pair of consecutive finishes within the top 20 individuals, the Indians scored 54 team points to finish second behind Decorah in the six-team scoring field.

The Indians were next scheduled to compete in the Northeast Iowa Conference Meet to be held Tuesday, October 11 at Oelwein. The distance Tribe will then look to extend its season competing at its Class 2A State Qualifying Meet Thursday, October 20 at Monticello, the details of which are printed in a shaded box in the print edition and e-edition of The Standard.
