Waukon girls cross country team finishes fifth at South Winneshiek Invitational

The Waukon girls cross country team wrapped up its regular season of invitational competition at the South Winneshiek Invitational Tuesday, October 4. The meet runs all high school runners in the same race, with no separation between varsity and junior varsity, and the Indians tallied 142 team points to finish fifth in the seven team-scored field.

The Indians were next scheduled to compete in the Northeast Iowa Conference Meet to be held Tuesday, October 11 at Oelwein. The distance Tribe will then look to extend its season competing at its Class 2A State Qualifying Meet Thursday, October 20, the details of which are printed in a shaded box in the print edition and e-edition.
