25th Annual Christmas Fantasy soon approaching - make reservations now!


The theme of the 25th Annual Veterans Memorial Hospital Health Care Foundation’s Christmas Fantasy is “25 Years of Caring and Sharing” in honor of the 25th anniversary of this community-wide event. Reservations are now being taken for the Saturday and Monday Christmas Fantasy Luncheons sponsored by the Allamakee County Cattlemen’s Association. Reservations are being taken now for the Veterans Memorial Health Care Foundation’s 25th  Annual Christmas Fantasy held Friday through Monday, November 11-14 at the Fairgrounds Pavilion in Waukon. The theme will be “25 Years of Caring and Sharing” in honor of the 25th anniversary of this community-wide event.

Reservations are now being taken for the Saturday and Monday Noon luncheons and the Saturday evening Wine, Cheese and Dessert Event. The luncheons are sponsored by the Allamakee County Cattlemen’s Association, and will be held Saturday, November 12 at Noon and again Monday, November 14 at Noon. A full meal will be served plus entertainment will be provided at both events. All guests will have ample time to view all of the displays. Reservations can be made by calling 563-568-6262.

The Saturday evening Wine, Cheese and Dessert event will be held from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, November 12. This year the event will be sponsored by Eagle’s Landing Winery of Marquette and Empty Nest Winery of Waukon. They will both be serving a variety of their finest wines and entertainment will be provided that evening. Reservations can be made by calling 563-568-4177.

This year’s Christmas Fantasy event will have a huge number of decorated trees on display. Many items will also be available on silent auction, including centerpieces, gift baskets, wreaths, swags, chairs, quilts, toys, mini-trees, crafted items, wall hangings and other decorative items.

The Friday evening “Tingle ‘N Mingle” happy hour will be held November 11 from 5-8 p.m. and is sponsored by Four County Ag in Postville. This annual Friday night happy hour event will be hosted by B.E. Catered, Jim and Charlene Baxter and Mary Engrav. This is a special opportunity to meet socially with friends and co-workers after work. Many tables of hearty hors d’oeuvres, plus desserts, candies, and spirits will be served among the trees. Special holiday entertainment will also be provided. Tickets for this event can be purchased now at Veterans Memorial Hospital or at local banks. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.

Christmas Fantasy will be open to the public Saturday, November 12 from 2-5 p.m., Sunday, November 13 from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and again Monday, November 14 from 2-7 p.m. Sunday’s event will be sponsored by Thrivent Financial and will also offer photos with Santa from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. by Katie Hennessey of Cotécolor Photography.

The “25 Years of Caring and Sharing” Christmas Fantasy 2016 is planned and sponsored by the Veterans Memorial Health Care Foundation.
