Barbara Mulholland

Barbara “Barb” Mulholland, 94, of Lansing died Friday, October 28, 2016 at Thornton Manor in Lansing. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing, with Rev. John Moser as officiant. Inurnment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lansing.

Visitation will be Friday, November 4 from 4-7 p.m. at the Thornburg-Grau Funeral home in Lansing and one hour before services at the church Saturday.

Barb was born December 12, 1921 in Lansing, the daughter of George Sr. and Martha “Mary” (Glynn) Whalen. Barb graduated from Lansing public Schools. She was a member of the Navy WAVES during WWII.

June 19, 1945 Barb was united in marriage to Everett “Fats” Mulholland at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing, where she was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by five daughters, Cheri Ann (Maynard) Sandy of Ferryville, WI, Sandra Mulholland of Prairie du Chien, WI, Cathy (Bruce) Bowers of Waterloo, Mary Sue (John) Martell of La Crosse, WI and Rebecca (Michael) Bailey of Lansing; three sons, Terrance “Terry" (Karen) Mulholland of Waukon, Jeffery (Joyce) Mulholland of Mooresville, NC and Danny Mulholland of New Albin; 25 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett; one son, Steve; two sisters, Bernadine Mulholland and Charlene Schulze; three brothers, Paul Gregory, John and George Jr. (Spike); two granddaughters, Jessica Mulholland and Kaylee Johnson; and a great-grandson, Robert Daniel Olsen.

The Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Lansing is assisting the family with arrangements.
