Letter to the Editor: Thoughts on how our government should be run

To the Editor:

Well, finally the Christians came alive and voted 60-plus percent for Trump, only 18% for Hillary. My question is, what kind of Christians are those 18%? Do they approve of abortion, same-sex marriage, the Bible and Ten Commandments outlawed from our schools, and suing the Sisters of the Poor?

Trump should immediately reinstate the Bible and Ten Commandments back into our schools and all public offices (local option). Trump should quickly repeal the law forbidding priests and ministers from participating in politics.

The Democrats have indoctrinated young people not to work, thinking they will all vote Democratic. That is criminal.

If Trump wants to put together a great think tank to improve the USA, he should invite Donald Zietlow of Kwik Trip stores and Mr. Culver of the Culver fast food chain. Our government should be run like the two above-mentioned businesses. Their employees are very helpful, happy and enthusiastic. These two businesses have great support from the public, wouldn’t it be nice if we thought that highly of our government?

Another great think tank member would be Msgr. Ed Lechtenberg - you should read his great message in last week’s (November 9) paper. So, let’s all pray for Donald Trump. He will need it.

I would like some respectable Democrats to explain how 18% of Christians could support Hillary. I also would really like to know how the Clintons got so rich. If you know, please inform me.

Kindest regards and God Bless,
