The University of Iowa football team wrapped up its 2016 season with a 30-3 loss to the 17th-rated University of Florida in the Outback Bowl in Tampa, FL January 2. The loss brings the Hawkeyes’ season to a close with an overall record of 8-5 and a Big Ten Conference mark of 6-3.

Third-year sophomore defensive end Parker Hesse ended up with three total tackles, including two solo stops. He also had one pass break-up, a tipped pass at the line of scrimmage that was intercepted by a diving Desmond King early in the first quarter, setting up the Hawks’ only score of the ballgame.
