Kee boys boys track team finishes 13th at Ed-Co, 10th at Postville Invitational

The Kee boys track team was able to finally get on the outdoor track this past week, actually getting in a pair of meets within a couple days of one another. The Hawks finished 13th out of 15 teams at the Edgewood-Colesburg Invitational Tuesday, April 4 before placing 10th out of 11 teams at the annual Foster Kiesau Relays hosted by Postville High School Thursday, April 6.

The Hawks were next scheduled to compete in the West Central Invitational at Oelwein High School Monday, April 10 before taking part in the MFL/MarMac Invitational Thursday, April 13. Kee will then prepare to host its own home invitational Thursday, April 20, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Ed-Co Invitational ...
The track and field Hawks finally got their first taste of outdoor competition, doing so in the large 15-team Ed-Co Invitational hosted by Edgewood-Colesburg High School Tuesday, April 4. Kee recorded a trio of top-five event finishes in that large field to place 13th in the final 15-team standings with 11 team points.

Postville Invitational ...
The Kee track boys competed against a handful of fellow Upper Iowa Conference teams, among others, in the 11-team field of the Foster Kiesau Relays hosted by Postville High School Thursday, April 6. The Hawks tallied five top-five event finishes at the meet, helping themselves to 19 team points and a 10th-place team finish at the meet.
