After having its first two meets of the season postponed, the Waukon girls golf team was finally able to get out on the links for a pair of back-to-back nights of competition, defeating two of three teams the Indians faced. The Lady Indians started their season off on a high note with a 197-241 home triumph over Waverly-Shell Rock Monday, April 10 before shooting a 211 at home Tuesday, April 11 to finish between North Fayette Valley’s 203 and MFL/MarMac’s 260.
The Waukon golf girls were scheduled to take part in their busiest week of the season, hosting Decorah Monday, April 17 and playing at Caledonia, MN Tuesday, April 18 and at Sumner-Fredericksburg Thursday, April 20 before making up a postponed April 3 home date with South Winneshiek Friday, April 21. The golf Tribe will then host both Crestwood, Monday, April 24, and New Hampton, Friday, April 28.

The Indian golf girls were finally able to get their competition season underway, and did so in stellar fashion with a team total under 200 strokes and a convincing win over Waverly-Shell Rock at home Monday, April 10. The lady linksters fired a 197 to leave the visiting Go-Hawks and their 241 far behind.
vs. MFL and NFV ...
The golf Indians remained at home for a second consecutive night but hosted two other teams in a non-conference triangular with North Fayette Valley and MFL/MarMac Tuesday, April 11. The Indian team total ballooned a bit from the night before, as the Tribe turned in a 211varsity total that landed in between North Fayette Valley’s 203 and MFL/MarMac 260 strokes.
