Waukon garbage collection schedule change in May

Starting the first week of May, Waukon's residential garbage collection schedule changes to Tuesdays for south of Main Street and Thursdays for north of Main Street. The second week of May will include recyclables and begin the alternate week recycle pick-up schedule. There are no changes for commercial garbage pick-up.

New Garbage Collection Schedule begins:

Tuesday, May 2 - South of Main Street

Thursday, May 4 - North of Main Street

Alternate Week Recycle Pick-up (in addition to garbage collection) begins:

Tuesday, May 9 - South of Main Street

Thursday, May 11 - North of Main Street

The new recycle containers are expected to be delivered to Waukon residential addresses within the next week, prior to that May 9 beginning of the alternate week pick-up schedule for recyclable materials.
