James Krousie

James Allan Krousie, 66, of Harpers Ferry died peacefully under hospice care Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at his home in Harpers Ferry. A family burial is planned and a celebration of life is open to family and friends from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, June 24 at the Ethel Robinson Meehan Community Center in Harpers Ferry.

James was born May 18, 1951 to Robert and Mildred (Martens) Krousie in Waukon. He graduated from Monona High School.

James was united in marriage with Anita Sayre January 2, 2007 in Lansing. He worked as a union carpenter and was an animal lover and an avid walleye fisherman and hunter.

James is survived by his wife, Anita Krousie of Harpers Ferry; two children, Travis  (Tracey) Krousie of Walford and Nicole Krousie of Johnston; three grandchildren; and his siblings, Bob (Helen) Krousie, Terry (Linda) Krousie, Mike (Cathy) Krousie, Barb (Mike)

Schulte and Kevin (Ellen) Krousie. James was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mildred Krousie.

Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monona is assisting the family with arrangements.
