Kee High School and Middle School Principal Mary Hogan reviewed the different assessments and surveys that will be taking place in the near future. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college.

Principal Hogan also noted that New Albin Elementary was given the highest rating of Exceptional on the State of Iowa School Report Card.  The accountability measures include a unique indicator of school climate based on student surveys of engagement, safety and overall learning environment called Conditions for Learning. The other measures are: student participation on state assessments, academic achievement, student academic growth, graduation rate and progress in achieving English language proficiency. A postsecondary readiness was added in 2019.
