Prestemon, Streicher exchange wedding vows in Waukon

Emily Prestemon of Colesburg and Brad Streicher of Edgewood exchanged vows in a wedding ceremony at Zion United Church of Christ in Waukon July 11, 2020. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Mike Jackson of Edgewood.
The bride is the daughter of Dave and Gail Prestemon of Waukon. She is the granddaughter of the late Lloyd and Delores Dehning and the late Jim and Alta Prestemon. Emily graduated from Waukon High School and Iowa State University. She is currently a Kindergarten teacher in the Edgewood-Colesburg School District in Colesburg.
The groom is the son of Vicky and Dennis Salow of Colesburg and Darrel and Lisa Streicher of Edgewood. He is the grandson of Marian and Richard Geving, the late Donald and Gordetta Streicher, Don and Irene Salow, Liz Kulper and the late Lyle Kulper and honorary grandmother Donna Belle Elledge. Brad graduated from Ed-Co High School, the University of Northern Iowa and Kirkwood Community College. He is currently a Respiratory Therapist at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Dave Prestemon. Soloist was Andrew Lange and organist was Barb Hagen. Guests were ushered in by Andy Salow, brother of the groom, Ben Streicher, cousin of the groom, and Justin Putz, Matt Loeffelholz and Payson Kerns, friends of the groom.
Maid of Honor was Nicole Prestemon, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids included Sarah Prestemon, sister-in-law of the bride, Macy Streicher, sister-in-law of the groom, and Madeline Streicher, sister of the groom. Flower girl was Harper Salow, niece of the groom.
Best Man was Mug Streicher, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Aaron Prestemon, brother of the bride, Nick Dugan, brother of the groom, and Ethan Streicher, brother of the groom. Ring Bearer was Hoyt Prestemon, nephew of the bride.
A reception and dance were held at the Dousman House in Prairie Du Chien, WI following the ceremony. Live music was provided by Smoking Gun Showdown. Ben and Mary Streicher served as host and hostess.
The couple honeymooned in South Dakota and Wyoming and now make their home together in Edgewood.
