Sign up for new emergency alert notifications in Allamakee County

Allamakee County is using a new emergency alert notification system called Alert Iowa, a multi-purpose emergency alert system that provides county specific information on weather and non-weather-related alerts to local citizens. The system allows county, city officials and the National Weather Service to communicate emergency information via a voice call, text message and/or email directly to those who are signed up. The system currently provides two alert options: weather and non-weather notifications with the ability to choose which alerts to receive.

Signing up for Allamakee County Alert Iowa is easy and can be found on the Allamakee County website at: https://allamakeecounty.iowa.gov. Look under the Departments tab for the Emergency Management page to locate the link and information on the system.
