Waukon boys basketball team opens season with pair of non-conference losses on back-to-back nights of competition

The Waukon boys basketball team has its 2021-2022 season off to a 0-2 start after a pair of non-conference battles at home. With two returning starters from last season’s final games still recovering from football ailments and not in the line-up yet this season, the bucket Tribe first fell at home to MFL/MarMac, 87-76, Monday, November 29 before suffering a similar fate, 57-46, at home to Sumner-Fredericksburg Tuesday, November 30.

The Indians were next scheduled to play Monticello at Upper Iowa University in Fayette Monday, December 6 before hosting Crestwood Friday, December 10. The Tribe will then travel to New Hampton Tuesday, December 14 before hosting Waverly-Shell Rock Friday, December 17 and then wrapping up its pre-holiday schedule with back-to-back nights at home, hosting Oelwein Monday, December 20 and then Decorah Tuesday, December 21.
