Kee Speech season is underway ...

The Kee High School Speech program has its busy competition season underway, beginning with the Conference Large Group Contest this past Saturday, January 15 in Postville. Kee’s events received six “I” ratings and one “II” rating. The Conference contest is considered a preparation for Upper Iowa Conference schools before they compete at the District level, where all teams will compete again.

District Contest is scheduled for this Saturday, January 22 in Cascade, with State Contest slated for February 5 at Decorah High School. The teams have been practicing since the beginning of November.

Kee’s Speech program has seven teams competing this season, including the following:
Reader’s Theatre “Adaptation of The Monkey’s Paw”: Abby Wood, Daniel Wagner, Ethan Schweitzer, Faith Boland, Ahmed Atta, Kylie Troendle, Neva Peterson, Phoenix Crass and Brooklyn Bakewell.
Ensemble Acting “Stuck at Home”: Ethan Schweitzer, Neva Peterson, Brendan Croft, Isabelle Hammell and Ashlyn Henkes.
Ensemble Acting “ Check Please”: Ethan Rasque, Dalton Dibert, Ahmed Atta, Abby Wood, Monica Davis and Rhianna Jones.
Radio Broadcasting “GOOD 109”: Riley Troendle, Zoey Timmerman, Rebecca Shako, Brendan Croft and Cadan Evanson.
Radio Broadcasting “CRUZ 101”: Cheyanne Troendle, Rhianna Jones and Ashlyn Henkes.
Improvisational Acting: Ethan Rasque, Luke Eiden, Zoey Timmerman and Andrew Kolsrud.
Improvisational Acting: Faith Boland, Austin St. Mary and Isabelle Hammell.
