Kee High School Speech secures Division I ratings at State Contest

The Kee High School Large Group Speech program participated in the State Contest held Saturday, February 5 at Decorah High School. Four Kee performances had advanced to the State Contest after receiving Division I ratings at the District Contest held January 22 at Cascade High School, with each of those four performances also receiving Division I ratings at the State Contest.
Kee’s four State Contest performances (all of which are pictured in the surrounding photos) included the following:
•Radio “GOOD 109” by Brendan Croft, Cadan Evanson, Riley Troendle, Zoey Timmerman and Rebecca Shako;
• Radio “CRUZ 101” by Rhianna Jones, Ashlyn Henkes and Cheyanne Troendle;
• Ensemble “Stuck at Home” by Brendan Croft, Neva Peterson, Ashlyn Henkes, Ethan Schweitzer and Isabelle Hammell;
• Reader’s Theatre “ Adaptation of The Monkey’s Paw” by Phoenix Crass, Brooklyn Bakewell, Neva Peterson, Faith Boland, Ahmad Atta, Kylie Troendle, Abby Wood, Ethan Schweitzer, and Daniel Wagner.
Tickets are now available for the Kee Speech Dinner Theatre, which is being brought back Saturday, March 5 at TJ Hunter’s Banquet Hall after not being able to be held last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets are available at the Kee High School Office or from any Kee High School Speech participant.
