Home ›Decorators needed for 31st Annual Christmas Fantasy: This year’s theme will be “Making the Future Bright”
The Veterans Memorial Health Care Foundation has announced the 2022 Christmas Fantasy will be back to a normal event this year, holding it back inside the Allamakee Fairgrounds Pavilion in Waukon with all of the special events included. This will be the 31st annual Fantasy event the Foundation has hosted.
The theme will be “Making the Future Bright.” Christmas Fantasy decorators are needed to decorate the numerous trees for display as well as donors needed for the silent auction items such as miniature trees, wall hangings, quilted items, gift baskets, centerpieces and more.
The 2022 event will be held Friday through Monday, November 11-14. Plans will again return to include the usual Friday night happy hour event, Saturday and Monday luncheons, Saturday night wine, cheese and dessert event, and general admission Sunday and Monday afternoons.
Christmas tree decorators are needed to decorate their artificial tree for display during the Fantasy. These tree decorators may set up prior to the event and will then take all of their decorations and displays home again following the event.
Silent Auction donors are also needed who are willing to decorate an item that will be sold on silent auction during the Fantasy.
The event will be organized by the Veterans Memorial Health Care Foundation members, including Craig Lensing, President; Jay Mathis, Vice President; Matt Teslow, Secretary; Nancy Schoh, Treasurer; Rose Beardmore, Sue Blagsvedt, Mitch Duncklee, Patty Goltz, Kevin Hanson, Dan Headington, Judy Herman, Jane Kallevang, Ardie Kuhse, Nona Sawyer, Kim Sylvester and Kay Zimmerman, with additional assistance from Pat Pettingill, Julie Thompson and Karen Swenson.
Any decorators or donors who are willing to be a part of the 2022 “Making the Future Bright” Christmas Fantasy are invited to call Erin Berns at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon at 563-568-3411, ext. 443 to reserve a spot.
