Waukon volleyball team has 2022 campaign ended by loss in three sets in Class 3A Regional opener at No. 14 Monticello

The Waukon volleyball team had its 2022 season brought to a close at the home of a highly-regarded Class 3A colleague in the opening round of Class 3A Regional Tournament play Monday, October 17. The Indian netters traveled to 14th-rated Monticello for their initial postseason tournament action, battling the host Panthers through three sets but falling in all three to suffer the match sweep and an end to their 2022 campaign.

The net Tribe completed its 2022 season with an overall record of 16-19 that included a 0-5 mark in Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) dual match play that placed them sixth in the final NEIC team standings. Monticello went on to have its season ended in the Class 3A semifinals at 12th-rated Dubuque Wahlert Wednesday, October 19 by scores of 22-25, 21-25, 32-30 and 21-25.
