Waukon girls track team finishes fourth at Indian Relays, claims eight event golds to win MFL/MarMac Invitational

The Waukon girls track team pulled double duty this past week, competing in a pair of meets and vaulting from a middle-of-the-pack finish to a dominating team win as the week played out. The Lady Indians finished in the middle of the seven-team pack at their own Indian Relays Tuesday, April 23 before throwing, jumping and running away with the team title at the MFL/MarMac Invitational Thursday, April 25.

The Lady Indians were next scheduled to take part in the Edgewood-Colesburg Invitational Monday, April 29 before competing in the Northeast Iowa Conference Meet, which will be hosted by Charles City Thursday, May 2. They will then prepare for their Class 2A State Qualifying Meet to be hosted by Denver Thursday, May 9.
