Kee girls track team claims seventh at Ed-Co Invitational, finishes as team runner-up at Upper Iowa Conference Meet

Winters repeats as 100m hurdle UIC champ, Mohn wins 400m UIC crown

The Kee girls track and field team brought its regular season schedule to a close with two final meets this past week prior to beginning its postseason pursuit. The Lady Hawks began this past week with a seventh-place team finish at the Edgewood-Colesburg Invitational Monday, April 29 before claiming its best Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) team finish in recent years with a runner-up finish at this year’s UIC Meet hosted by South Winneshiek in Calmar Thursday, May 2, where sophomore Addison Winters repeated as the 100 meter hurdles UIC Champion and senior Mallory Mohn claimed the UIC crown in the 400 meter dash.

The Kee girls were next scheduled to compete in their Class 1A State Qualifying Meet to be hosted by Edgewood-Colesburg Thursday, May 9.
