Dean Krambeer: husband, dad, bumpa, teacher, coach and friend. Dean died Wednesday morning, May 29, 2024 in his home at the age of 77. Dean’s celebration of life was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Pine Island, MN Saturday, June 8.

Dean was born December 26, 1946 in Postville to Burnell and Carol (Gilson) Krambeer Reeder. Dean graduated from Waukon High School (1965) and Luther College, Decorah (1969). August 24, 1968 he married his high school sweetheart, Linda (Anderson) Krambeer. They were married at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waukon.

Dean and Linda started their teaching careers in Spring Grove and Mabel-Canton schools in Minnesota. In 1972, they moved to Pine Island, MN where Dean taught fifth and sixth grades, coached football for 32 years, and was a Pine Island volunteer fireman for 25 years. During his retirement, he enjoyed part-time work at Progressive Tool & Manufacturing (PTM). Dean and Linda have been active members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church since 1972.

An avid sports fan, he loved fishing, golf, cards and watching the Minnesota Twins. An activity that brought him so much joy was time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. The most cherished memories will always be those traveling with family.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; his children, Cori (Kevin) Arce of Rochester, MN, Dena (Bob) Weinmann of Rochester, MN and Tom (Kelsey) Krambeer of Little Canada, MN; four grandchildren, Amelia and Max Arce, and Theo and Mabel Krambeer; his siblings, Ken (Gloria) Krambeer and Kim Sylvester, and sister-in-law, Bev Krambeer, all of Waukon, and in-laws, Larry (Maggie) Anderson of Merrifield, MN and Lori (Randy) Hesse of Waukon.
