The Waukon baseball team played just three games this past week, putting one of those three in the win column to currently hold a 3-9 season record that includes a mark of 2-6 in Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) play. Hosting Class 2A seventh-rated New Hampton Wednesday, June 5, the Indians surrendered a 12-2 loss before allowing an 8-4 loss to get away in the final inning. The diamond Tribe then posted a 14-4 win at Edgewood-Colesburg Thursday, June 6.
The Indians were next scheduled to host Crestwood for two varsity games in NEIC play Monday, June 10 before playing two NEIC games at Waverly-Shell Rock Friday, June 14 and then one game at Riceville Saturday, June 15. They will then host Turkey Valley Monday, June 17 and Decorah Wednesday, June 19.
