Home ›Waukon softball team wins three of five games, including split at New Hampton
A strong early start to this past week of five games saw the Waukon softball team put three of those contests in the win column as the Tribe now holds a 5-4 season record that includes a mark of 2-2 in Northeast Iowa Conference play. The Lady Indians opened the week with a 13-2 home win over Central Elkader in just five innings Monday, June 3 before recording a 6-3 win at home over South Winneshiek Wednesday, June 5. They then played to a split at New Hampton Thursday, June 6 with an 18-12 win followed by a 14-2 loss in three innings before wrapping up the week with an 8-0 loss at NEIC-leading Charles City Friday, June 7.
The softball Indians were next slated to host Waverly-Shell Rock Tuesday, June 11 before playing in the large West Delaware Tournament Friday and Saturday, June 14-15. They will then play at Crestwood Tuesday, June 18 and at North Fayette Valley Thursday, June 20 before hosting New Hampton Friday, June 21.
