Greilinger, Duffy exchange wedding vows in Lansing

Nestled in the foothills of Mt. Hosmer at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lansing was the unique and intimate setting for the Celebration of Marriage for Jordan Michael Duffy and Ricki Lee Greilinger. The starting line-up for the May 25, 2024 celebration included: Matron of Honor Beth Platten; Maid of Honor Brandi Olson; and Bridesmaids Ireland Berns, Chandran Lapel and Cheyanne Steiber. The groom’s starting line-up was Best Men Dustan Duffy and Jacob Johnson (deceased); and Groomsmen Zach Halverson, Andy Lapel and Dan Mohn.
Family and friends were graciously ushered by Dustin Darling, Nathan Fink and Tom Becker. The Batgirls were nieces Kenleigh Sizemore, Landry Laine and Larkin Lapel. They distributed “Happy Tear Tissues” to the guests from their baskets. The Baseball Pop-Up Shower Crew included Ashlyn, Rylie and Dawsan Imhoff, and Isaac Clime.
Pastor Laura Gentry created an intimate and memory-making celebration which included the Ring Warming Ceremony and the bride and groom serving the wine for communion. Family and friends were serenaded by Andrew Boddicker (keyboard), Ian Zahren (vocalist) and Brian Burke (brass player). Musical selections included: Celtic music, “Stand By Me”, “My Girl”, “You Are The Reason”, “I Will Always Remember Us This Way” and recessional music “Nothing Is Going To Stop Us Now.” The scripture readings were delivered by Damian Imhoff which included a quote from The Book of Metallica.
Pastor Laura added a “Ha Ha” moment amongst the happy tears.
The wedding party was the recipient of a pre-wedding breakfast hosted by Ann Fields which got the entire day off to a wonderful start. Other highlights of the day included a Mississippi River cruise which included wedding party pictures. Wedding guests were treated to the premier showing of local talent Ron Larson’s creation Tearing Down the Black Hawk Bridge. In addition, former 2005 State Kee Hawk baseball players reconnected and cheered while viewing 2005 State Tournament highlights.
Lighted fishing poles arched for the entry of the wedding party which included Kendran Sizemore, Akeela Jefferson, Jaren Fritz, Aliya and Irelyn Ballard, Isaac Clime, Ashlyn, Rylie and Dawsan Imhoff, Landry Lapel and Kaylan Duffy.
Jordan Duffy is the youngest son of Marlene Imhoff Duffy (Roger Valley) and James Duffy. Ricki is the daughter of Beth and Gary Platten and Greg Greilinger and Sheri Ryden.
