Home ›Kee softball team comes up shy of the win column last week, including falling in battle of UIC unbeatens at South Winn and in two games at Don Bosco Classic
The Kee softball team played through a schedule of just four games this past week, having the two-day Don Bosco Tournament trimmed to just one day and two games played Saturday, June 27, where the Lady Hawks fell to Hudson by a 10-2 result and to Cascade by a 22-5 final result. Prior to that tournament, the Kee girls also fell in a pair of single-run games at South Winneshiek Wednesday, June 26 in a doubleheader battle between Upper Iowa Conference unbeatens, 5-4 and 12-11.
Currently holding a 15-15 season record that now includes their first losses in Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) play at a 10-2 league record, the Lady Hawks were next scheduled to host West Central Monday, July 1, Riceville Tuesday, July 2 and North Fayette Valley Wednesday, July 3 before playing at Jesup Friday, July 5 and hosting Sumner-Fredericksburg Saturday, July 6. Kee’s diamond dwellers are then scheduled to begin Class 1A District Tournament play Monday, July 8 at home against Central Elkader.
