Letter to the Editor: Submitted by Ozzie (Osmund) Quandahl

To the Editor:

It’s been some time since I wrote a letter. It’s hard work for me, and my age doesn’t help - 98 in November, but here goes. Over these many years, I have seen a lot of changes, and most not for the best.

Way back in 1980, I heard a farmer speak. He had just lost a court deal. He said very loudly we should line up all the lawyers in the USA and get rid of every other one and we would still have twice as many as we need. Wow, that was quite the statement, but now, 50 years later, he might have been on track.

Look at our Congress, not very highly respected, below 20% approval. If Congress was made up of farmers and businessmen, we would have a better country. Our government took the Bible, Ten Commandments and anything Christian out of our schools. Christian school teachers could not wear a cross or anything Christian.

That’s when the devil walked in and took over our schools, no more education, just indoctrination, and we are really paying the price now. Lots of anti-Israel unruly students.

Our open borders are a disgrace and will be harmful to the USA for years to come. Many murders of young girls, many deaths from Fentanyl, all because of open borders. Plus, we have terrorist sleeper cells waiting to do the USA great harm.

Roe/Wade law should never had passed. Planned Parenthood is another big disgrace. No country that kills babies by the millions will ever be great. There are people who think abortion is their right, and we the taxpayers should pay. Our taxpayers paid for 105 Planned Parenthood buildings and gave them half a million dollars to operate. Passing laws like the above is why our Congress has a very, very poor approval: period. Abortion is terrible and should be done only after serious consideration by the women, the boyfriend or husband, their clergy and doctors.

Our wide open borders are another terrible thing for the USA. The wall should be completed and be tighter than a bull’s hind end in July fly time. You’re not a sovereign country with wide open borders. Our open border policy has caused 300,000 deaths from Fentanyl. It’s responsible for many murders of young women. It’s responsible for the terrorist sleeper cells. We are pretty safe here in Waukon.

Thank God the Governor of Louisiana has posted the Ten Commandments in every room of their schools. I hope Governor Reynolds will do the same. She is a great governor we should thank for making and keeping Iowa great.

Kindest Regards and God Bless,
