Hagen Reunion scheduled for July 28

The timeframe of 1854 to 2024 equals 170 years. That’s how long your family has been in this country if any of these people are part of your family tree:

- Mathia  (Martha) Hagen (1852) married Torkel Leikvold in 1896
- Peter Hagen (1854) married Ellen Paulson in 1891
- Christena Hagen (1856) married Otto Sorenson in 1891
- Hannah Hagen (1859) married John Fossum in 1879
- Halvor Hagen (1861) married Lizzie Osterholtz in 1885
- Nicolene Hagen (1863) married Louis Wellman in 1884
- Edward Hagen (1865) married Mary Salvison in 1918
- Otto Hagen (1867) married Minnie Johnson in 1896
- Albert Hagen (1870) married Karen Lyse in 1899
- Melvin Hagen (1878) married Maurgerite Bannerman in 1911.

These are the 10 children and spouses of original immigrants Gulbrand and Agnete Hagen. Anyone who can trace their lineage back to these people is invited to come to the Hagen Reunion at the Waterville Community Center (Old Waterville School) Sunday, July 28.

Those attending are welcome to arrive starting at 11 a.m., with a potluck meal beginning at noon. There will be memorabilia and interesting artifacts - most notably the plow that Gulbrand used to break the prairie sod. See what the sixth, seventh and maybe even eighth generation Hagen descendants look like. Table service and drinks will be provided. Bring old photos and family updates.
