Home ›Kee football team comes up with six turnovers to remain undefeated with 57-0 win at home over Waterloo Christian
Friday the 13th had little impact on the Kee football team in its Friday, September 13 game played at home against Waterloo Christian, but the Eight-Player ninth-rated Hawks proved to be a nightmare for the Regents, who are playing in just their second year of high school football as a team. Despite coming off a convincing win, 44-24, a week earlier over West Central, Waterloo Christian surrendered six turnovers that included an early “pick-six” for one of five Kee interceptions on the night, while the Hawks also had a couple early scoring drives of just a single play to bolt to a 39-0 first quarter lead on the way to an eventual 57-0 Kee victory.
The Hawks are next scheduled to remain in Lansing for their fourth consecutive home game to start this season, but will face their strongest test of their regular season campaign when Eight-Player fifth-rated Don Bosco comes to town for Kee’s Homecoming this Friday, September 20. Just like the Hawks, the Dons come into the contest undefeated on the season after wins of 33-26 over fellow top-10 rated Gladbrook-Reinbeck to start the season and then back-to-back District 3 triumphs of 65-0 over Central Elkader at home September 6 and 55-7 at Riceville this past Friday.
