STEAM Makerspace Open Lab Session classes to be offered at NICC Waukon Center

Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) Business and Community Solutions is offering STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering And Mathematics) Makerspace Open Lab Sessions starting Wednesday, September 25. There will also be sessions October 9, October 23, November 6, November 20 and December 4. These classes will run from 3:30-5 p.m. at the NICC Waukon Center, 1220 3rd Avenue NW.

STEAM Makerspace Open Labs are for students in third through seventh grades. The lab is a learning space for creative exploration of STEAM. Use Legos, robotics, electronics, create movies and animation, design and build, and more. A teacher will be available to guide students in the basic use of the tools and technology. Registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.
