Jason Hamm

Jason L. Hamm, 48, of Viroqua, WI, died Sunday, January 5, 2025, at his home in Viroqua, WI. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 11 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville with Pastor Lynn Noel officiating. Burial will be at Waterville Lutheran Cemetery, Waterville.

Friends may greet the family from 4-7 p.m. Friday, January 10 at Martin - Grau Funeral Home in Waukon.

Jason Lee Hamm was born February 3, 1976, in Waukon, the son of Gregory and Rebecca (Smrcina) Hamm. He was baptized and confirmed at Waterville Lutheran Church in Waterville and graduated from Waukon High School in 1994. Throughout his life, Jason worked as manager at Rockweiler Appliance in Viroqua for over 20 years.

He loved sports and was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings fan. Jason also enjoyed coaching baseball and basketball, watching his daughters, nieces and nephews in their sporting events, playing golf, grilling, and going on his yearly trip with his group of friends. Jason was a wonderful father, son, brother, and friend, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his two daughters, Chelsea Hamm of Winona, MN and Madeline (Evan Solberg) Hamm of Viroqua, WI; his mother, Becky Hamm of Waukon; a step-daughter, Mariah Andregg, and grandson, Dominic; a sister, Jana (Corey Winters) Troendle of Harpers Ferry, and niece and nephews, Kylie, Thomas, and Tanner Troendle; a brother, Jerrod Hamm, and nieces, Haley and Savanna Hamm; and his grandparents, Bart and Marilyn Hamm of Waukon.

Preceding him in death were his father, Greg Hamm, in 2017; a brother-in-law, Eric Troendle; and his grandparents, George and Norma Smrcina.

Urnbearers are Andrew McIntyre, Forrest Goodman, Jeremy Strub, Mark Cooper, Matt Otting, and Todd Osterhaus.
