Pair of area young ladies seeking crown of 2025 Allamakee County Dairy Princess at annual dairy banquet this Saturday

The 2025 Allamakee County Dairy Banquet is scheduled to be held this Saturday, March 22 at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Waukon. Food service will start at 7 p.m. and the program will begin at 8 p.m. Banquet tickets can be purchased at the door.

The annual celebration recognizes the importance of the dairy industry in Allamakee County and the contributions dairy families make to this important industry. Every year, top producers from the county are recognized at the banquet. In addition, several other awards are presented that evening, some of which include the following:
• Outstanding Young Dairy Family Award
• Pioneer Dairyman
• Distinguished Dairy Family Award
• Service to Dairy Industry Award
• Golden Butter Knife Award.

Also a highlight of the evening's festivities, the 2025 Allamakee County Dairy Princess will be crowned. Two Allamakee County young ladies, Kiele Eberling of Postville and Kendra Gibbs of Waterville, are seeking this year’s Allamakee County Dairy Princess crown. Kiele Eberling -
Kiele Eberling is the 18-year-old daughter of Kevin and Donna Eberling of Postville. She is currently a senior at Decorah High School.
Kiele and her family live on a dairy farm outside of Postville where they milk around 50 Brown Swiss cows. She is involved in FFA, 4-H, Colorguard, Winterguard, Band and Cheer, and she was the 2024-2025 Iowa Brown Swiss Princess.
In FFA, she participates in multiple contests including Dairy Judging - where she placed 10th in the State competition, Floriculture, Ag Broadcasting - where she was an Alternate to the State competition, and Ag Communications - where she placed ninth in the State competition, as well as receiving her Iowa Degree last year. She enjoys playing guitar, showing cattle, reading, and going to concerts.
After graduating, Kiele will attend NICC to finish her transfer degree in Agricultural Education and then transfer to Iowa State University to major in Animal Science and minor in Agricultural Education. Kiele is sponsored by the Postville Veterinary Clinic.

Kendra Gibbs -
Kendra Gibbs is the 17-year-old daughter of Chris and Kerri Gibbs of Waterville. She is currently a junior at Waukon High School.
Kendra is involved in 4-H, FFA, National Honor Society, and Luther League. Through FFA, she is currently serving as the 2024-2025 Little Switzerland FFA Chapter Secretary. She also competes in various contests including the Agronomy, Milk Quality and Products, and the Ag Biotechnology Career Development Events (CDEs).
She is also a member of the 4-H Toppers 4-H club and is serving as the 2024-2025 club Vice President. Kendra is a very active member on her family’s dairy farm, Gibbs Dairy. On the farm, she oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of their calf facilities and assists in various other aspects, including providing care to sick cows and helping in the operation’s artificial insemination breeding program.
When Kendra is not busy doing any of the prior, you can find her spending time with friends and family, going on road trips, camping, or kayaking. After graduation, she is planning to attend South Dakota State University to major in dairy production with a minor in agronomy. Kendra’s sponsor is Driven Embryo Services.
