The Waukon girls golf team played through a busy past week, playing in three different events over the course of the final three days of the week. After being idle the first half of the week due to weather, the Lady Indians finished second at the South Winneshiek Triangular Thursday, May 1 before falling at Charles City, 232-226, Friday, May 2 in a dual meet rescheduled from Monday, April 28. The Waukon lady linksters wrapped up their week finishing fourth at the 18-hole Decorah Quadrangular Saturday, May 3.
The Waukon girls were next scheduled to host New Hampton Monday, May 5 before playing in another non-conference triangular Thursday, May 8 at Turkey Valley. Waukon’s girls will then wrap up their regular season with the Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) Tournament at Charles City Monday, May 12 before playing in their First Round Regional Tournament Friday, May 16 at a site yet to be released, with details of that postseason tournament trail being printed in a future edition of The Standard.
