A busy week of four games, all on the road and all against larger schools, for the Kee softball team resulted in a just a single win in the contest played closest to them as the Lady Hawks opened their 2025 schedule this past week. Kee’s diamond dwellers got their season underway with a 10-3 loss at Crestwood Tuesday, May 27 before securing their lone win of the week, 8-6 at Waukon Thursday, May 29. The Hawks then wrapped up their week falling in two games at the Jesup Classic Saturday, May 31, being dealt a 6-0 loss by Vinton-Shellsburg before also falling to South Hardin by a 4-2 final result.
The Hawks were next scheduled to open Upper Iowa Conference play at Central Elkader Wednesday, June 4 before playing in the North Fayette Valley Tournament Friday and Saturday, June 6-7. Kee’s diamond dwellers will then host Postville Monday, June 9, Clayton Ridge Wednesday, June 11 and Riceville Thursday, June 12 before playing in the Riceville Softball Classic Saturday, June 14.
