Waukon softball team opens season with 11-2 home win over Postville, also falls to Kee and North Fayette Valley

A promising start to the 2025 season for the Waukon softball team eroded away a bit as the Lady Indians’ initial week of competition played on this past week. The diamond Tribe opened this summer’s campaign with an 11-2 home win over Postville Tuesday, May 27 but then suffered back-to-back losses at home to close out the week, 8-6 to Kee Thursday, May 29 and 22-7 to North Fayette Valley Friday, May 30.

The Lady Indians were next scheduled to play at Central Elkader Monday, June 2 before hosting Crestwood Tuesday, June 3, playing at Decorah Thursday, June 5 and competing in the North Fayette Valley Tournament Saturday, June 7. The softball Tribe will then host New Hampton Tuesday, June 10 and Charles City Thursday, June 12.
