Supervisors approve pick-up truck purchase for Secondary Roads Department, contract with Solutions, Inc. for software, managed services for Fiscal Year ‘26

The Allamakee County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Monday, June 23 to address a full agenda of matters including discussion and consideration of the Fiscal-Year 2026 Solutions contract, discussion and consideration of steam trap replacement or repair for the County Courthouse heating system, and the consideration of bids for culvert and guardrail work. The meeting was called to order by Board of Supervisors Chairperson Dan Byrnes with Supervisors Dennis Keatley and Tom Clark present.

During Public Comment, Zoning Administrator Stephanie Runkle and the Supervisors discussed some matters relating to watersheds. There was no comment from the public at that time.

GIS Coordinator Jon Luchsinger addressed the next matter relating to the discussion and consideration of the Fiscal-Year 2026 (FY26) Solutions contract. Luchsinger made note of an increase in the contract for FY26 with Solutions, Inc., a developer of custom software for local government, following the end of the current five-year contract for software and managed services. Luchsinger, County Auditor Denise Beyer and the Supervisors discussed options available relating to providers for software services. Following discussion, the Supervisors approved the FY26 contract with Solutions, Inc.

The Supervisors next addressed the discussion and consideration of the contract for steam trap replacement in the County Courthouse. This matter relates to the courthouse heating system maintenance that will include repair or replacement of steam traps and control valves. Clark noted that three vendors have expressed interest in bidding on this work with the current service provider Winona Heating and Ventilating, Inc. of La Crosse, WI likely to provide an updated bid.
