The Works and Allamakee County Economic Development set to host fifth annual Entrepreneurship Week next week

Entrepreneurship Week 2025 is happening September 15-19 at The Works Coworking & Coaching in Lansing. Every workshop event during the week is free to the public and is designed to educate, connect, and empower local entrepreneurs and current and future small business owners at every stage of their business journey.

Hosted by The Works, in partnership with Allamakee County Economic Development (ACED), this fifth annual week-long event will feature dynamic speakers, practical workshops, and 1:1 coaching to help area entrepreneurs grow their businesses with purpose, strategy, and support. Workshops and coaching also include light meals and snacks from area restaurants and food entrepreneurs.

This year’s event line-up of presenters includes the following:
• Monday, September 15 at 5:30 p.m. - Stephanie Lea Ross, founder of Sister Circle Small Business and author of Seasons of a Soul-Preneur, will present Where Soul Meets Strategy: How to Build a Business That Supports Your Season of Life. This heart-centered keynote invites entrepreneurs to align their businesses with their life’s current season, purpose, and well-being.
• Tuesday, September 16 at 5:30 p.m. - Sarah Arendt-Beyer of Nortek Air, La Crosse, WI will present Harnessing AI for Marketing.
Attendees will learn how to put artificial intelligence (AI) to work for small business with real-life marketing tools and ideas they can apply immediately. Arendt-Beyer will feature tips and tricks using a variety of AI tools with this up-to-the-minute round-up of this rapidly changing space.
• Wednesday, September 17 at 5:30 p.m. - Joleen Emery of Big Raven Yoga/Farm/Media, Spring Grove, MN will present Google Business Best Practices.
This high-energy, actionable session is perfect for any business owner looking to improve visibility, searchability, and connection with customers online.
• Friday, September 19 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. - Open Office Hours for Entrepreneurs & Small Business Owners.

Participants can also book 30- to 45-minute sessions with expert business coaches and counselors for focused brainstorming and problem-solving. Val Reinke of ACED and Maryann Baldwin, Counselor for the Small Business Development Center in Northeast Iowa, will provide business coaching and Kelsey Meyer of the newly-founded Renewed Vitality Holistic Wellness Services in Lansing will provide wellness coaching for work-life balance. Sophie Klisz of Serenity Massage will also provide chair massages for those in attendance.
