Everyone is invited to join area youth on athletic fields across the nation this Wednesday evening, October 8 in sharing their Christian faith with other students and the general public for this year’s Fields of Faith event. The local event is now in its 14th year and will open to the public at 6:30 p.m., with the event scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Waukon High School football field that October 8 evening, or in the Waukon High School gym in the event of inclement weather.

Featured speaker for this year’s Fields of Faith event in Waukon will be Tanner Morgan, the winningest quarterback in the history of the University of Minnesota football program who is also a football analyst for the Big Ten Network and trains quarterbacks across the nation. Morgan currently serves with Search Ministries, an organization that helps people explore life and faith through meaningful conversations and relational evangelism. In his public presentations, Morgan draws from his journey through high-level athletics, ministry and personal trials to challenge audiences to live with purpose, resilience and identity rooted in Christ.

In addition to Morgan, several area high school seniors will also be presenting their own testimonies of faith in their young lives that evening. Scheduled to share their own messages of faith are Toby Treptau, Peyton Smedsrud and Zach Perkins from Waukon High School, Isaiah Wagner and Zach Goetzinger from Kee High School, and Stella Pole from Decorah High School. Waukon High School seniors Elle Wilkins, Noah Hager and Emma O’Neill will be emceeing the evening. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
