Richard Howes

Richard H. Howes, 76, of Waukon died Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Northgate Care Center in Waukon. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, November 20 at Martin-Grau Funeral Home in Waukon from 3-6 p.m.

Richard Hudson Howes was born July 27, 1949, in Illinois, the son of Richard and Winifred (Meyer) Howes. Richard graduated from Barrington High School in Barrington, IL, in 1965. He enjoyed old sitcoms and movies and loved listening to music. Richard was a quiet man, but loved a good conversation and was a great story teller. He was a very friendly guy and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Survivors include his three children: Lori Lambert, Richard (Heather) Howes, and Gregory (Marie) Howes; eight grandchildren: Joseph, Joey, Tasha, Aleah, Hailey (Dalton), Tanner, Riley, and Devon; and a sister, Margaret. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Penny; and a brother, Craig.
